Risk of STD after ingesting lollipop used by stripper

Resolved Question:

Okay, this is totally embarrassing, but I'm worried sick about it. Over the weekend some buddies and I were at a hotel during a road trip and ordered a stripper to come by. I'd been drinking quite a bit that night, and during the show the stripper did the "lollipop pick-up" trick where she made me hold a lollipop in my teeth and she picked it up with her vagina. After dancing around a bit, she then came over and shoved the lollipop in my mouth! As I said, in my drunken haze I didn't react correctly and actually crunched on the lollipop and even swallowed some of it before realizing what I was doing! Anyway, I'm really worried I might have contracted an STD. . .should the probability of this happening be as concerning to me as it seems? Thanks.

Hello,

Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com. I can understand your concern.

There is a chance of contracting a STD, as the fluids came in contact with your mouth. But that would depend on whether the lady in question has a STD.

I would recommend that you visit a STD clinic and get yourself examined and tested.

The chances of contracting a std in the circumstances you mentioned are lesser than that can be contacted sexually, however there still exists a chance and it would be better to get yourself tested.

Hope this helps, please feel free to discuss further.

Take care
Regards

Patient replied :

Thanks. If this just happened this weekend, how long do I need to wait before getting tested for anything to show up on test? (For what it's worth, I called the service and inquired if there was anything I should be worried about and they were very understanding and called the girl about it, called me back, and assured me everything was fine and that she is "clean".)

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

Around 4 to 6 weeks is the time it takes for any test to become positive after an exposure.

Hence that's the time you need to wait before doing the tests.

Hopefully, she shouldn't be having any std as she said.

Take care
