Resolved question:
why is it impossible to loose weight after thyroid ablation? Taking synthroid and levels have been optimal to high for a year. Gain 15 lbs after ablation. Taking 175 syntroid and doing Nurtisystem for 5 months. Can not lose any weight? What is the reason?

I understand your concern
Weight gain is not related to thyroid ablation unless there is hypothyroidism. If TSH is normal, only diet exercise with weight loss medication will help.

I'm 15 lbs of overweight Diet and exercise is not making a difference and I don't understand why. My diet is nutrisystem. Walk 7 mile a days plus light weight training at the gym. Uncomfortable and feel like I'm starving/excersicing myself to death with no results. Feeling depressed over it. Are weight loss meds a good option? What meds might be helpful?
If diet and exercise alone don't help, then drug therapy is an option. Details regarding your height and weight and waist circumference is required to assess if you are really obese or overweight.
