Itching foot

Resolved question:

My foot is very itchy and is driving me crazy. Its on the outside of my foot closer to the heel than the toe. I feel like there are a few 'bumps' along the affected area but they are not readily visible and that could just be from me scratching it.

Is there something I can put on it to make this itchiness go away?

Hello, Thank you for asking the query : There could be a number of reasons that can cause itching of the foot. But from your description of the symptoms (severe, localised itching) it seems to be a fungal infection of the foot. You can apply an over the counter antifungal ointment - Any athlete's foot /jock itch / Candid - B ointment should be fine. Apply twice a day in liberal amount. In addition to this keep the feet clean Make sure the feet is dry most of the times. Wash all your socks in anitspetic liquid and warm water, or get new ones. Prefer socks made of breathable material (cotton like). Please follow these recommendations and the itching should disappear by 4-5 days. Even after 5 days if the itching is persisting you might want to see a Doctor for further evaluation. Hope this helps Thank you
