Are warm, itchy rashes HIV?

Resolved question:
I keep getting these rashes over the last 2-3 weeks. They feel warm to touch and sometimes itchy. Are these HIV rashes? I'm really worried.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com.

I can understand your concern.

The rash seems to be papular urticaria. It is usually caused after insect bites but can occur even due to some other allergens that you may have come in contact with. It's not a hiv rash.

I would recommend that you take an anti histamine like Allegra . This will resolve the rash n also help with the itching.

Application of cortisone lotion twice a day for a week also will be helpful.

Urticaria is usually due to an allergy to something, however it's not always easy to find out the cause.

Hope this helps, Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care
