Back pain in morning with blood traces in URINALYSIS.

Resolved question:
I am a 52 year old white male. I have been having bad low back pain in the mornings when I have to urinate. I got a urinalysis today at a health care clinic. They found trace amounts of blood in my urine. I had a PSA test done in September and it was perfect. I am really scared. Could it be prostate cancer.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
It is highly unlikely that you are having prostate cancer. However you should still get investigated with ultrasound KUB and PSA. It has been almost one year that you got PSA done and hence repeat it. Ultrasound is desirable to find out any other possible cause of urinary discomfort and traces of blood in the urine.
Kindly get back to me with the reports.

Take care

Patient replied :

Could it be possibly bladder cancer. I have never smoked or been around chemicals. The pain is in my tailbone area. I am a bodybuilder and runner. Should I get a cystoscope done?

Dear sir
You should first get ultrasound done and then see urologist. Getting cystoscopy done may not be bad idea.
Take care
