Hello doctor I have a question that amoxocillian is used for curing chlamydia and I have been observing that if we take some amoxocillian doses of 500mg about 3 times in a day anyone can become cured from chlamydia in 7 days. With this a question arises in my mind that if we take 875mg of amoxicillian instead of 500mg for 2 times in a day for about 7 days will it cure chlamydia. Please suggest me whether it will be ok or there are some other antibiotics available for the treatment of Chlamydia?Is there any pictures of herpes are there due to this disease?

Thanks for your question and concern, so if you are thinking to take 875mg 2 times a day for about 7 days instead of 500mg in a day for 7 days I must tell you that amoxicillian is preferred in the treatment of pregnancy. Amoxicillian is used in treating pregnancy and not chlamydia. But if you want to know about how to cure chlamydia I can suggest you some antibiotics.These antibiotics you can take 875mg 2 times in a day for 7 days. If we talk about antibiotics recommended for adults and non pregnant females we can consider doxycycline, azithromycin, erythromycin, levofloxacin and ofloxacin. These antibiotics are considered to be helpful in the treatment of chlamydia. After you have taken the complete course of these antibiotics you can take the complete test and become sure whether you are completely cured of chlamydia. In order to be sure whether you are completely cured from chlamydia you can go for repeat test after you have completed your course of amoxicillian. By this repeat test you can be sure that you have become cured from Chlamydia. It is also advised to go for test so that you can get to know how much the desired antibiotics are helping you.There is no picture of herps are seen as such in this infection.Take care.
