Hi doctor,
After having sex, my boyfriend ejaculated on my waist. Later it simply flowed down to my vagina. I think, in a minute it reached vaginal mouth and stayed there. Is there a chance that I can get pregnant by this? He used pull out method just before ejaculation. Can sperms which are exposed to air before reaching vagina make an egg fertile?

I understand your concern about pregnancy. If you are sure that ejaculate has not reached inside vagina and he has not ejaculated even a drop inside vagina, chance of getting pregnant is minimal. Vaginal structure is a specialized one, which facilitates movement of sperms into egg to make it fertile. On your ovulation day, there will be a humid environment inside vagina, depending on the day of ovulation. The fluids and mucus inside vagina will favor the movement of sperms inside cervix, towards the fallopian tubes. It is necessary that the ejaculation happened inside vagina or semen reach the inside of vagina, by any means. So, in your case, you seem to be sure that ejaculate has not entered vagina. If it is so, you will not become pregnant. Even if the probability of getting pregnant is minimal, there is a chance. You can rule out it by doing a home pregnancy test. But it should be done a week after your due menses date, if menses if not occurring. You can do this by using a home pregnancy test kit, available in local stores near you. Take care.
