Sharp headache in the lower back of my head.Hi,While I was having sex, a very sharp and throbbing pain came out of no where and increasingly got worse with pleasure. Afterward the head ache stayed for 30min or so and I began having numbness in my arms and legs which lasted for two days. Is this serious? Should I go to my local doctor or ER? The symptoms that you have described may be due to various reasons such as: a) Tension headache b) Peripheral neuropathy c) Multiple sclerosis d) Migraine headache e) Stroke f) Acute stress reaction g) Meningitis h) Transient ischemic attack i) Cervical spondylosis However your headaches may be due migraine. This condition usually presents with severe headache, nausea, tingling sensation in the arms and legs. I would suggest you to get a complete physical examination and blood tests, CT brain, c spine x ray to find out the cause for these symptoms. It has to be thoroughly evaluated. You can use paracetamol 500 mg twice a day for a week and consult your doctor with these reports.
