Health insurance in Europe helped me a lot. I am not aware of health insurance companies in india.

I can only give you general information regarding this and recommending one policy over the other is not only difficult (many finer details make up the policy and it is best you do the research and understand your needs); It would also be inapporiate to favor one or the other. The specifics of health insurance policy vary as per you need like if you would reimbursement of all hospitalization costs (take due care and look into exceptions in terms of diseases, surgeries etc), pre and post hospitalization expenses, claims settlement gurantee duration, ambulance charges, cashless services with accredited hospitals, income tax benefits, terms of the age limit etc. A lot of fine details make it hard to recommend one policy. You could also buy them online. But these are long term policies - I am not sure if you were looking for short term travel insurance - for which I have no particular knowhow.
