Hi, my 18yr old son started complaining of haemorrhoid type symptoms 2 weeks ago which gradually became worse to the point of not being able to sit,by day 7 he stopped using his bowels, on day 10 we went to his GP, after having an exam inside and out the lumps that he complained of seem to of gone, he was prescribed a mirco enama, but with no result! since then he has had a 8pack of movicol in the past 4 days having the last one last night, but in the morning still no movement! What should we do?

I think your son is suffering from Fissure in ano. In that case there will be severe pain while passing stool .
Sometimes, blood will also appear in the stool.
Movicol is a good medicine for constipation.
As there is no response, he should be taken to a Surgeon for digital evacuation of the stool. The stool might have become hard and impacted. It should be removed by fingers only.
He should take plenty of liquids, high fiber diet, fresh fruits and vegetables.
