Dear dr.. i am 34 male ..and i have undergone psychiatric treatment for hypocondriasis 3 times.. first time in my 20s fear of occurance of stomach cancer and secnd time i feared about happening brain stock.. both time i visited a psychiartist and he diagnosed i hav HYPOCONDRIA, and prescribed venlafaxine xr 75 mg per day both time. And i got 100 percnt remission too
Last anxiety attack is in my 32 age and nw i feared about the occcurance or onset of schizophrenia.. then my same psychiartist told me tht u have no schizophrenia diagnozing symptoms and i knw u from the last 10 yr and u have above the normal age critetia of scizophrenia onset.and he again prescrbd venlafaxine xr 75 mg. aftr that i got 90 percnt remission and the last 3 month before my psychiartist reduced the dose to 37.5 ... then anw my anxiety increased again .. i am alittle bit restless too nw.. a lot of irrational doubts tok arises. This is my history.
sir nw my doubt related to pedophillia.. cz one week before police arrestd a pedophillic person near to my home.. then onwards i have feared about about pedophillia..
My fear is can i have any chance to become a pedophillic in future? And i need to clear i hve no pedophillic impulses in my mind.. for that here i trustfully disclose my feeling as points below for analysing me by u

12.in movies if when i felt such manner means when i see movies , accidently my penis erect due to see any girls( not happend yet and never think about that , but my anxiety is leads to thinking me such).. such accidently penis erect when any about kids leads to me pedophillic.. dear sir there is no and nothing and never happend such in my life...

I have gone through your question in detail and I can uderstand what you are going through.
Firstly let me assure you that schizophrenia can never set in for you. Your age is not in the favour of the diagnosis of schizophrenia and you dont have even asingle symptom of schizophrenia.
Regarding pedophilia, you dont have any symptom of pedophilia. Some mild erection may occur when children touch the genitals but that doesnt mean your mind wants to have sex with children. From all what you have stated, you are definately not having pedophilia.
Regarding venlafaxine, its good that you have upped the dose of venlafaxine to 150 mg per day and the effect of increase in the dose will be evident after one week or so. Infact the dose of venlafaxine can be further increased to 225 mg depending on the requirement.
Please dont panic and things will be taken care of you.

Sir thanku.. so I hvent no pedophillic impulses.?.. and sir wat is the age of pedopjillia onset .. and have any chance to me to have an onset in my age.. 100/ surely I am saying I have no impulses towards kids in my life... and the accidental gentle touching on penis and its erction never leads to a paraphillic man, can I get a assurance from u..? And frm movie ( seen kids) any thing happen wrong erection.(never happend in my life).? Sir venlafaxine xr 150 mg up dosed yday.. how many days it take for working... and this anxiety about pedophillia and worries can lead to real pedophillia ( any chance)

100% assurance from my side that you will never develop pedophilia and your thoughts will not lead to pedophilia.
The age of onset of pedophilia is somewhere around 15-20 and you are past that age.
The upping of venlafaxine dose will take atleast 7 days to show any positive response.

When we come in life, we can get any kind of disease. But there is no use in worrying about 'n' number of diseases when we dont have it now. The diseases that you have mentioned, you are very unlikely to have them as none of your symptoms and age group suggests so. Sexual preferences do not change with time.
Do continue your treatment for the hypochondriasis.
