Irregular vaginal bleeding not on birth control. ENDOMETRIOSIS/HPV?

Resolved question:
I am 46 years old, not on birth control, diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis in 2000, had lap surgery. Was on Clomiphene for over a year, had 3 in-vitros, then had 3 children via artificial insemination (different doctor from In-vitro.) Had a miscarriage at 11 wks in 2012. I have been bleeding after sex with my fiance (my only partner)for about 3 months, just lightly at first. Now I am bleeding like it's the end of my period after we have sex-this has been going on for about a month. I had my period normally last month, stopped bleeding for a few days, then started again just like another full period-about 5 days. Stopped for another few days, and am heavily spotting again. I was diagnosed with HPV in my early 20's but had TCA treatment and have been clear ever since. My last pap smear was 2012. I called my gynecologist and spoke with the nurse, she said it was fine to wait until my OB-GYN's next opening, in a month. I've had 2 siblings who died of cancer (one breast, one Hodgkin's), so I'm a little freaked out. Do you think it's ok to wait a month to be seen?

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
With post coital bleeding and irregular bleeding between cycles, what you need is a through gynecological exam.
It should entail an internal exam with a speculum, a Pap smear and a pelvic transvaginal ultrasound scan.
With a clear smear in 2012, yes you can wait until a month.
What other alternative would you have, other than waiting for your OB - GYN's next opening ?
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.
