Is walking up hill briskly bad for knees?

Resolved question:
These questions are a new but follow on discussion with Dr. Mahajan.

1). I have been splitting 80 mg cholesterol tablets to 2, 40 mg each. I am taking 40 mg/day. Is it wrong to split Lipitor tablets. I have read on their website Not to split them. Do you know anything about this?

2). Do I need to always do blood work to check my liver function if it is being damaged by Lipitor?

3). You said previously that walking on the treadmill briskly while incline is not good for the knees. But, at horizontal level, it is OK. Can we say equally that walking up a hill briskly bad for the knees?

Hello,
Yes, you should buy 40 mg separately.
40 mg is low dose and won't affect the liver. You can monitor annually once.
Yes, walking up the hill at your age can put considerable pressure on the knees, so it is not advisable,

Why splitting the Lipitor pills is bad? Does it not work? I have been doing that for a while now.

Expert:  Dr. Vivek Mahajan replied 3 Days.

It is difficult to get the exact 40 mg by splitting it.
Why don't you just take 40 mg? Your method also works, but it is better to take 40 mg directly rather than splitting it.

I would like to say that my sternum pain is either diminished or gone. But, a new phenomenon I am experiencing is that it feels like my heart once in a while is jumping or skipping a beat or something like that.
Is it in my head? Is it because of stress over this? Is it because of the new sharp turn in lifestyle of diet and exercise? What can it be?

Expert:  Dr. Vivek Mahajan replied 2 Days.

It seems related to stress.
On having a conversation with you all these days, I can understand the stress you are subjecting yourself too.
I can assure you, based on all your reports your heart is in good shape.
Please do not worry and relax.
Regards.

Thanks Dr. Mahajan.
One more thing. Per my results that I sent you,
the last imaging test that was done was
10 years old patientago (2005). It was both echo and nuclear-stress
Test. I was 43. My ejection percentage was
73%.
All other results were in the last year.
7 EKGs, one borderline.
and borderline stress test.
also all kinds of blood work and
overnight monitoring.
Bur, no recent imaging or echo.
Do you think I need any new imaging or echo now?

Expert:  Dr. Vivek Mahajan replied 1 Day.

No as of now you do not need any further testing.
Wait patiently for 3 months, follow good diet and lose weight,
Then recheck the ECG and stress test.
If you can lose weight, you will have considerable improvement.
Regards.
