Lump on pubic bone area without pain. Cause?

Resolved question:
Last night I found a lump to the upper right of my pubic bone. It is above my thing not in the crease. I have an appt with my doctor next week but I am worried about what this might be. It is a little smaller than a golf ball.I have no pain in the area and it is more apparent when standing up.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
As per your description, it looks like Inguinal hernia.
Abdominal content like Bowel or fat comes out through a defect in the groin and present as a swelling. It is better seen in standing position. Most of the times, it disappears in lying down posture as the contents go into abdominal cavity.
Next possibility is Lipoma, collection of fat .
These are confirmed by Clinical examination.
Please consult your Surgeon and get examined clinically. If he is not sure,he can ask for an Ultrasound abdomen which gives a clue to the diagnosis.
Nothing to worry.
Any disease can be managed effectively.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.

Wish you good health.
Regards
