Masturbation problem

Resolved question:

I am a 26 year old, single, female. I am a little fetish in using rubber gloves which we use in our household for masturbation. I have been doing this for past 1 year because my fingers are small and cannot give me orgasm well. Also it is not pleasant to feel the wet nature of vagina, when touched with bare hands. I use some anti-bacterial gel or soap to clean the gloves before and after use to ensure no harm is there. Also I will not leave any residue of soap in it. I use separate gloves for cleaning purposes and for household use. For me, I will urinate a lot after masturbation, once every half an hour. Is it due to any bacterial activity or some chemical property of gloves which causes this? Do I need to stop this or limit using gloves? I don't masturbate on a daily basis but with a gap of 2-3 days. Also, will it affect the relationship with a man? Those gloves are made of soft material and not causing any burning sensations. Will this cause some memory loss or similar brain problem?

Hello. Thanks for writing to us.

The symptoms you have described account for the irritation of the urethra. Usually, these kind of symptoms like increased frequency of urination, itching, increased secretions through vagina are seen in newly married females as the sexual intercourse irritates the urethra. Also the chances of acquiring infection in a female are very high because of short urethra (only 4cm in female when compared to 20cm in male). In your case, you might be allergic to the rubber material that is used in the production of latex gloves. This condition is referred to as Contact dermatitis. This latex substance which is foreign to your body, mounts an immune response and causes an inflammation in that particular area leading to increased frequency of urination. It is best treated by avoiding the allergic substance, in your case the latex gloves.

Masturbation is considered a normal part of life. It is frequent in both males and females. It proposed that masturbation can relieve depression. Also a recent study establishes an inverse relationship between the frequency of orgasm and heart diseases. There are almost no disadvantages with masturbation except for the insertion of foreign bodies into the vagina. One might experience a little difficulty during the transition from masturbation to sexual intercourse, but has no major concerns.

Hope this helps.
