Neck is bothering with headache after drinking. MENINGITIS?

Resolved question:
my boyfriend and I both noticed our necks were bothering us today, I have a headache but also drank way too much and was hungover in the morning so I thought it was from that, could we have menengitis if we are both vaccinated before college?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
The three cardinal signs of meningitis are:
1) Neck catch or neck pain
2) Projectile Vomiting ( Distinguishing feature )
3) Headache with high-grade fever.
So, in absence of fever and vomiting, it does not sound like meningitis at all. Watch out for the development of symptoms as mentioned. Also, if vaccinated, chance of getting meningitis is low, but yes, possible in some cases.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards.
