OCD and fear of STDs

Resolved question:

I recently went on a trip and had oral sex and sex (for a minute), both times with a condom/protection with 2 random girls from a night club. I feel awful about it. I DO have OCD and have been checking and rechecking my genital area nothing is there no symptoms, and then I get a feeling like something "MAY" come and then goes away after I take a hot shower or am doing something else. This sort of thing has happened to me before, where I get very anxious.

I have been tested in October and I have been clean, tested negative for everything. I have not had sex or oral sex until 5 days ago. I have no symptoms, it is December 29th, and have not been sexually active or kissed anyone since october 1st, no sexual activity unprotected or protected until 5 days ago.

I am nervous because they were random in a night club and was not a classy night club.

I have went in to a doctor and got a physical examination and urine test both have come out negative, the doctor said there is nothing there, I pushed it further and now got a blood test and awaiting the results.

I may be feeling these kind of feelings maybe it is psychological or maybe, because I masturbate without lube alot. I got nervous because of this feeling but I think its because of the over masturbating.

Hello,

Thank you for your consult at Doctor Spring. There is no reason for you to worry, as you do not have symptoms of STD nor you are tested positive for any of the STD's. Most STD's are tested at 2-3 weeks and some of them at 12 weeks.

Testing by 12 weeks confirms the presence or absence of STD's. Also, symptoms like warts, blisters or ulcers in the genital area, oral blisters or pimples, burning micturition, abnormal penile discharge, pain during ejaculation are common with STD's.

As, you do not experience any of the above mentioned symptoms, three months post exposure, clearly suggests that there is no infection. You are just very worried.

Masturbation is a normal physiological act and it would not cause any such feelings. I would recommend that you get your results for blood tests and depending upon the results, which are most likely to be negative, further action can be taken.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask any follow-up queries.
Thank you

No I had some sexual contact December 24th. But with protection as I said, I got tested September 28th. And havent had sex or any oral sex until dec 24th and that was once for a minute with a condom.

I have No pain during urination or any kind of symptoms or have had any symptoms of these you mentioned.I have masturbated alot before and got some pain because of the friction but nothing like that.

I have given the masturbation a rest and I feel alot better. But no pain or anything you mentioned. No fever no sign of anything and I have been checked physically and the doctor has said no sign of anything.

If you have used condoms properly at all the occasions there is NO reasons to worry at all.

You had protection + No Physical symptoms + No sings + Blood tests negative. It can't get better that this. I would say there is nothing to worry at all. You can relax.

Feel free to ask clarifications.
Thank you

I guess it is just anxiety and causes me to check re check, I think it was the idea with a random girl in a not so classy place, at the same time. I am fine.

I think the OCD is getting in the way of my peace of mind.

More than OCD its should be the anxiety component. However this kind of concern is very common and not unusual in these kind of situations. I am glad that you have done the Physical and blood tests. So you should be alright . Thank you
