Pain in abdomen alleviated on passing gas. APPENDICITIS?

Resolved question:
My 6 year old son complained of abdominal pain Thursday around 2pm
He eventually passed gas and pain alleviated
I brought him to gp who palpated his stomach and confirmed gas
No pain Friday
Saturdaynight complained again
Passed gas went to bed
Woke up2 hours later
Sat on toilet pain passed
Nothing came out
Can this be appendicitis
No fever
Belly not swollen
And pain not consistent at all played all day today swam biked etc
To note child fell off bike afternoon
On tummy
Small bruise
I assume unrelated

Dear Parent,
I can understand your concerns. Abdominal pain in children can be absolutely non-specific. There are numerous causes of abdominal pain. Raging from the most benign to the outright life-threatening. So not all abdominal pain is appendicitis.
Where is the abdominal pain? Is it upper, middle or lower abdominal? Is it in the middle or on either side?
Does he have any nausea or vomiting?
Does he have any worms in stool?
Does he complain of abdominal dissension or pain during stool passage?
When did he fall off the bike? This afternoon? An she has been having abdominal pain even before trauma?
With answers to the above questions, I may be able to help you.
Regards

Dear parent,
Thank you for answering my queries. Really appreciate it.
Your child's abdominal pain does not appear to be a reason for worry. Most children report on and off peri umbilical ( around the umbilicus, middle of their tummy) pain without a specific cause.
You can give him a course of ant-helminthic drugs. This will deworm his food pipe. Many children of this age may harbor worms in their food pipe.
Give him 10 ml of Syrup Bendex once at bedtime. Repeat the dose 2 weeks later.
If the pain recurs, you may have to consult a paediatric gastroenterologist.
