Pressure on chest, problem with breathing. HEART ATTACK?

Resolved question:
My wife has some slight pressure on her chest in the last few days. She is 27 years old and has no personal history of heart problems. She has had some slight problem with her breathing. She has taken some Mucinex and which helped with the breathing. This evening she has a pain between her shoulder blades in the back, and felt some light squeezes around the heart which lasted around a second. She is worried she is going to have a heart attack. Any advice before we head to Urgent Care in the morning?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com.

Considering her age is 27, it is unlikely that she has any major cardiac ailment to be worried about. It is not impossible though.
The best test to get done right now is an ecg. After pain subsides she could be subjected to a treadmill test. Is she hypertensive? Has her BP been checked recently? If so, what are the values?
Does she have a chest infection? Is there any fever? When exactly did this symptom start?
How has her appetite been recently? Any change in dietary pattern?
Such symptoms could also be related to GERD, where there will be some associated reflux symptoms. It mimics a heart attack pain and can also lead to slight breathing problem.

Kindly answer the questions, and I will get back to you.
Regards.
