Reason for irritating, sore and burning sensation in PERINEUM.

Resolved question:
Since April I have a had a rather uncomfertable liaison in the perineum,
sometimes there is a burning sensation, it also seem to be more sore and irritated when I'm sitting.
I wondred what it could be and if it's necessary to see a doctor about it?

I have included some pictures of the affected area

Hello

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

I can understand your concern.

You seem to be having an eczema in the area, it could also be secondarily infected.

I would recommend application of cortisone cream mixed with mupirocin cream to be applied in the area.

This would help in resolving your condition. In case it doesn't help, you may need to visit your dermatologist for a prescription for a stronger steroid cream like mometasone.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care
Regards.

Thanks for the answer, could this eczema be caused by a fungal infection?

Hello

There could be an element of fungus also in it. But right now the skin is quite inflamed there. Addition of an anti fungal cream like clotrimazole after a week would be helpful.
