Risk of HIV from protected oral intercourse

Resolved question:
I am male 36 years old. I received condom protected oral sex from a sex worker. She also licked my testicles which has some bruises (non-bleeding). What is my hiv risk?

I got after 85 days of the incident and the report says HIV 1&2 negative. I do not know the type of test used. They took blood from my vein and I got the results in 4 hours.

Is the test conclusive or should I again for a test post 90 days.

I live in Chennai, India

Hello,

The sexual encounter you have mentioned is of low risk. And you have a 85 day negative test report (most likely antibody based ELISA test). So we can reasonably conclude that you are negative of HIV and safe.

However with this you can only be 99% sure. For absolute surety you will need to repeat that test (90 days repeat is good enough) . The test is available free of cost at Government run hospitals. Once again for all practical purposes you are safe and HIV free.

Hope this helps
