Scraped my leg with metal. Should have TETANUS shot?

Resolved question:
I was re finishing a dresser from the 50's today that's been indoors and while moving it I scraped my leg on a metal track that the drawers slide on. I saw a little blood along the scrape jumped in the shower and washed it with hot water and coconut oil soap and it just looks like a scratch now, not even big enough to create a scab. The metal peice was rusty. I can t remeber when my last tetanus shot was it could have been 3 years could have been 12+. Do I need a shot? I'm currently breastfeeding my 2 yr old still 4 times a day. Is the booster safe? I know I have 72 hours should I decide to. Also it seems as tho there are some scary side affects? Any light? Thanks

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
Yes, you need the booster shot.
It is completely safe to have it while breastfeeding.
There are no ominous side effects.
Do not worry.
Since you do not remember when was your last booster, please have one.
The furniture was quite old and rusty , don't ignore it.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.
