I shower daily - very clean person and cant smell anything at all. What can this possibly be as its a buzz kill for my social life? I do smoke about a pack every 2-3 days and consume alcohol 5 days a week.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
What you have is called eccrine bromhidrosis. This is abnormal body odor due to certain sweat gland secretion and action of bacteria on it.
Alcohol intake and ingestion of certain food items are among the various causes of bromhidrosis.
You need to quit drinking alcohol.
You also note down what you have eaten on the specific day and try avoiding eating those food items.
You can consult a dermatologist for iontophoresis which provides some relief from this condition.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

I will quit drinking and smoking immediately. I can not smell it all at all so it would be difficult to find which foods accelerate the smell. Is there a reason I cant smell it and everyone else can?
Which foods should I avoid? Anything I can eat to help clear this issue. I am also under alot of stress which makes me sweat even more.
Any thoughts would be soo much very appreciated.

Hi,
That is a good decision taken by you to quit drinking alcohol and also quit smoking.
It is difficult to say which all food will cause this kind of odour. Usually garlic, onion and curry cause this.
Maintain a diary about what you eat so that you can exclude food items that cause this odor.
As suggested earlier try iontoporesis.

Dr.R.K.
