Stabbing pain in heart in pregnancy. Emergency?

Resolved question:
I'm 20 weeks pregnant and for the past day or so have felt a sharp stabbing pain where I would guess my heart is (left side). It comes and goes and only lasts a few seconds and then back to normal. No other real symptoms except regular pregnancy ones. We're having a bad flu outbreak here so I'm totally try to avoid the ER on a Saturday. Any idea if this is something that should be looked at immediately?

Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
I think this is more likely to be gastritis.
Try and take an antacid. Or you can start yourself on Cap. Omeprazole 20 mg once daily before breakfast for 2 weeks.
Have a glass of chilled milk.
Avoid having spicy, oily food.
Stick to bland, home made food.
Yes, given the flu outbreak, it is best to avoid potentially infective places.
If the pain worsens or does not abate within a few hours despite these measures, please consider seeking medical care then.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.
