Strange skin lesion on finger

Resolved question:
Hello, I have noticed a strange lesion appear on the middle finger of my left hand. It has been there for about two weeks and doesn't show any signs of subsiding. At first I thought it may be a callous, because I have recently begun lifting weights, but I am beginning to wonder if it may be a wart because it has those little dots in it.

If it is a wart, how should I get rid of it and stop it spreading?

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com. I can understand your concern.

It seems to be a condition called pompholyx. It's an eczema, which is seen more often in winters.

The treatment would be application of a steroid cream like mometasone twice daily.
The cream would require a prescription.

In the picture, it doesn't seem to be warts or callus.

Hope this helps, Please let me know if you have any queries.

Take care
