Symptoms and treatment of HEAVY METAL POISONING.

Resolved question:
My friend has been poisoned by heavy metals for about 3 years and just found out a little over 2 months ago. He was on medication for two months to rid himself of the heavy metals, but he is continuing to have symptoms of headache, heart feeling week, fatigue, and pain at nerve endings throughout his body. He has completed his medication 2 days ago and does not know what to do or why the symptoms will not go away. What should he do? Are the symptoms still from the poison or are they something else?
All his symptoms include : fatigue, headache, muscle ache, stomach issues, week heart feeling, nerve pain.
Please help

Hello and thankyou for approaching DoctorSpring with your query.
I have gone through your friends case. In order to give you an informed opinion I will need some more details.
Please can you tell me which heavy metal was he exposed to and what was the route of exposure? Did he inhale or consume it orally?
What treatment was he on for the last 2 months.

It is possible that his symptoms still persist as a result of the heavy metal in his system. You need to do frequent tests to see if the metal has been cleared or not from the body.
Hence please can you answer the questions and reply as a follow up so I can assist you accordingly.

Thankyou

Thank you for your response. The heavy metals are: mercury, bromadiolone and metal phosphides from food that he was given. He has been poisoned intentionally. He was on a medicine that was to bind with the metals and remove them from his system, as I do not remember the name of the medicine. He is also experiencing a warmth feeling in his chest. He has had many heart tests done as I know his heart is fine, but why is he still having these symptoms. They also seem to happen more at night time then during the day.

Thankyou for the additional information.
I have gone through his case, his symptoms are less likely to be due to the poisoning but however you can get some tests done to rule it out.
His symptoms could be due to anxiety. It looks to be more related to anxiety as you say that they seem to happen more at night

To explain better I will mention the symptoms of poisoning of each of the metal you mentioned.
Mercury : Patient will usually have an intention tremor, inflammation of the gums, excessive salivation, excitability fearfullness.
Bromadiolone: Increases bleeding tendencies due to a small cut, or abrasion, gum bleeding, blood in feces or blood in vomit
Metal Phosphides : anemia making him feel weak, bronchitis, toothache, abdominal pain, tightness of chest, headache, weight loss weakness, swelling of the jaw

I would advise you to take him to the physician and get him tested for the heavy metals to make sure they have cleared from his system. In addition he should do a Complete Blood Count in order to rule out anemia.
As his cardiac tests have been normal, there is n need to repeat them.

I hope this has helped. You can follow up with any further query.

Thankyou.
