Tiny spots on the upper lip. Is this Fordyce spots?

Resolved question:

I'm very worried about this little or tiny white or yellow spots that I just noticed on my upper lip. I don't know what to do. I was wondering if you could let me know what it is? I googled my symptoms and I read that it's called, I think, fordyce? It's had a little weird numbing ness feeling. I just noticed this a few minutes go. Thank you

Hello, I understand your concerns. Fordyce's spots are raised, yellowish white- red bumps seen on the upper lip, shaft of the penis, over the scrotum, labia. These are sebaceous glands that are about 1 to 3 mm in diameter, painless and not associated with itching. Fordyce s spots are dilated blood vessels that may bleed following intercourse. However other conditions that can present with are Herpes Simplex, Secondary Syphilis, Apthous ulcers. These are various methods of treatment of Fordyce spots such as carbon dioxide lasers or Electrodesiccation, pulsed dye lasers, micro punch technique. In regard to your question, these are not infectious and hence do not spread as they are caused due to sebaceous glands blockage. So there are no chances of it spreading to other people. I would suggest you to consult your dermatologist for further management. Thank you.
