Vaginal washes should be avoided

Resolved question:

Hello doctor, I am 25 and I have this very strong odour in the vaginal area but there is no sign of discharge of any kind. Should I use the feminine intimate wash called the K’zanah Manjakani plus? What would you recommend? Does they help in clearing of the warts as shown in genital warts pictures?

Good to see you ask that question. Many young women use these feminine intimate wash without knowing the actual effects of these cosmetic products. In your case I would suggest you to consult a gynaecologist to diagnose any presence of bacterial or yeast infection in your vagina that are causing this odour. One more thing that you should know is that the vagina naturally discharges some fluids overtime to keep itself moist. Now it has to be seen that your case is same or different from normal. The vagina is a complex structure by nature, it functions in such a way that if the neutrality in maintained, and it protects itself from any outside bacterial or fungal infections by producing different organisms which fight the alien bacteria’s.  Now, I would not recommend use of any kind of intimate washes strictly and these washes do not aid in reducing any warts whether or not shown in genital warts pictures. The vagina maintains its natural pH balance which could be disturbed by using these vaginal washes. These are cosmetic preparations having chemical proportions which are harmful for your intimate area which may lead to development of some warts which would look like the genital warts pictures. Though how much these washes are propagated to be good but in reality they cause more harm to the vagina than doing good to it. In my view I would not suggest the use of any such vaginal washes. Hope your question is answered. Keep healthy.
