White bump on penis which bled and scabbed.

Resolved question:
I was changing one day and and noticed i had a small white bump on my penis. (Shaft not the head)
It looked like a small pimple so i popped it. Clear liquid began to come out of it. After a couple days it loooked like it was going away. I scratched it trying to remove it but then it started to bleed slightly. It formed a scab that eventually fell off. Now there is a white spot there that won't go away. Is this something to be concerned about? It's not raised and is very small. When I'm erect it isn't that visible? Should i keep putting over the counter cream on it? Please let me know. Thanks

Hello.
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I will request you to send me a picture to have more clarity.
It could have been a lot of things like an infected sebaceous gland opening, or a manifestation of fungal infection. It is possible that when you scratched it, you would have induced some kind of infection too, however in absence of symptoms it can be ruled out. The penis area is highly vascular and hence kindly avoid scratching such minor bumps or scabs in the future.
From your description, and since it is asymptomatic it seems more like an sebaceous gland opening which you scratched. In some guys, they have a lot of such sebaceous gland openings, which look like tiny white dots on the shaft. It is nothing to worry about, and it won't cause any harm. You can apply Mupirocin ointment on the affected spot 2-3 times daily. Have you been applying any ointment as of now?
Let me know how i can assist you further,
Regards.

What is a good ointment i can buy over the counter that has Mupiricon? Or is there an ointment just like that by itself? Take a look and let me know. I was scared cause i rubbed my penis over a vagina before putting on a condom and got really worried. But like i said it doesnt hurt isnt raised and looked like a small pimple. Thank you

Hello.
Thank you for sending a picture.
Yes as you said it is raised, and the good thing it does not look infected, however it is slightly inflamed. Could be a manifestation of a fungal infection. Since you tried scratching it, it got inflamed.
You can apply Mupirocin ointment, it is available by itself. Look for T. Bact ointment, however if it is not available any other locally available ointment with Mupirocin component can be used.
Use it for a week, 2-3 times daily and avoid scratching that area. Don't worry about the rub over the vagina bit because it is not infected.
Hope this was helpful,
Do let me know after the application of the ointment.
Regards.

Hello.
Thank you for the follow up.
Please do not be so stressed about it. It got inflamed because of scratching. Especially in the genitalia, any kind of wound take a long time to go away. Even without any treatment it will disappear but it will take time.
Mupirocin/ T.Bact should be easily available with the pharmacist.
I am sorry, we don't have provision of providing prescription online.
I once again reassure you, it will take time but it will go away.
Regards.
