My husband had a wart on his mouth, that was small, and he didn't see. My husband has the type of HPV that gives him genital warts. Although, we wash all of our sheets, clothes, towels, etc separate from our sons clothing. he kissed our son the cheek, what do I do now? does my son have oral HPV now? we NEVER kiss our son on the mouth, just the cheek

HPV is mostly transmitted via skin-to-skin contact with the penis, scrotum,vagina, vulva or mouth of the infected person. So while kissing, if the wart inside his mouth came in contact with your son's cheeks then there is a slight possibility of him developing warts. However let me tell you with a lot of reassurance that the chances are extremely low, and also even if it came in contact one kiss exposure is highly unlikely to pass on the infection to him. Yes kissing him on the lips directly would have been much more riskier.
So there is no need to be worried right now.

So if he kissed his cheek more than once, the exposure risk would be much higher? Also, if he does kiss him on the cheek, where would the wart develop? on the cheek?

Yes repeated exposures will make the chances of getting warts slightly higher.
However on the cheeks it is unlikely to manifest. It can only happen if there is a small cut on his cheek, and the virus in that case can enter the skin through the break.
Compared to cheeks, definitely kiss on the lips would have been a much higher risk.
Just to be on th safer side, ask your husband to avoid kissing when he gets warts on his oral cavity. Otherwise kissing on the cheeks, as i can understand is a natural way of showing affection to your child, does not need to be avoided in other cases.

Alright, also if I have hpv I can't pass it to anyone by preparing food, correct? I wash my hands very well, and am very careful when preparing food
