A few days ago I noticed a blemish/ discoloration/ dark spot on the head of my penis. I'm worried that it could be penile cancer since one of the symptoms is discoloration and I'm uncircumcised. I'm hoping for some insight as to what it could be. I don't know how long it has been there, I just happened to check the back of my penis head for curiosity and saw that one side was a little darker. I included some pictures. I can't see a doctor until September, when my medical insurance becomes active.
I'm a 26 year old male, uncircumcised, had multiple sex partners in college (over 10), I wore protection with all but two partners. Was tested for STDs, including HIV 9 months after my last unprotected sexual encounter, and all tests were negative. I'm currently in a monogamous relationship. There were some periods as a child where I developed smegma, but now I clean my genitals regularly in the shower.

I have seen the images attached. The pics are not very clear, however from what I could see, these could be freckle, mole, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or bowenoid papulosis( not very sure unless I have examined the lesion). These dont look like melanoma. A melanoma is asymetrical, has irregular margins, variegate pigmention, diameter is more than 6 mm and appearance keeps on evolving ie changing. You can always look for ABCDEs of melanoma on internet. Bowenoid papulosis is just treated as warts. Freckle, mole and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation need no treatment.

Hello doctor, thank you for replying. You mention Bowen papulosis, does this mean it could turn to cancer? I tried taking more picutures, this os the best resolution I can get. I took the picture with the flash on the camera on. Let me know if it's ok, I can send more.

Sir please dont be worried. Bowenoid papulosis as I mentioned earlier cant be confirmed unless I have seen the lesion. Bowenoid papulosis are raised pigmented lesions with slightly rough surface. So if your lesions are flat with no change in texture of skin, possibilities of bowenoid papulosis are bleak. BP is easily treated with cautery, cryotherapy or fluorouracil cream application. As far as images are concerned I guees pics clicked without flash would be more clear.
