Blisters, swollen foot after breaking my foot.

Resolved question:
I broke my foot in February, and it doesn't bother me anymore, but it is too tight in my shoes still. I get really bad blisters and I thought that maybe my foot had just grown but I think it looks sort of swollen. Should I be concerned?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I need to know a few more details before i can guide you further,
- Where exactly did you have a fracture in the foot? Do you have any x ray?
- Did you notice the swelling recently? Or has it always been there?
- Are you able to walk/ run properly?
The blisters and swelling mostly indicate an edema of the foot. However it will be better if you can upload high resolution image of the foot, so that i can get a clearer picture of what you're trying to describe. Also upload if you have any x rays of the foot fracture.
Sometime this post fracture swelling may take little more time to go away.I have seen some patients in which it had taken about 9-10 months to go away.
At present you should have contrast therapy. In this reference your physio will be able to help you.On first instance It does not look like there are any major concerns.
Awaiting your reply,
Regards.
