Blood types with husband and MMR vaccinations

Regarding blood types, normally there is no problem if the husband and wife have same or different blood types.

The only problem is when the husband is RH positive ( for eg. A positive ) and the wife is Rh negative. In this situation, if the baby is Rh positive, then the mother develops antibodies and passes them on to the child.
The firstborn child is generally not at risk, but subsequent children are.
Babies might develop severe anemia, jaundice etc and require blood transfusions.

The risks can be minimized by giving the mother injection of Rh antibody during pregnancy and after delivery. Therefore, I can give you more specific guidance if you let me know your blood group and your husband's blood group.
Regarding MMR vaccination, this is generally given to all teenaged girls as part of National Immunization Drive.

If you have missed it , for some reason, then it is advisable to administer Rubella ( R of the MMR ) vaccine to all women desiring a pregnancy, BEFORE planning a pregnancy. First, Rubella Ig G should be done. If it is positive, it indicates that you are already immune to Rubella. If negative, then Rubella Vaccine should be given, and after vaccination, pregnancy should be totally avoided for atleast 3 months.
