Burning sensation in penis tip

Resolved question:
Hi. I have a mild burning sensation in the tip of my penis. I pee more times than what I would think normal, sometimes I only pee a small amount.

I've had this for at least 2 years. I've neglected as the symptoms are not too bad and always thought it would go away on its own, didn't have insurance either.

Until recently did I start worrying, but everything is the same.

I took a home AZO UTI test and got positive for leukocyte, but negative for nitrite.

Initially when I started noticing this happen, I would feel a pinch in my left abdomen (left from my view), and then the need to urine, urine was hot. That pinch eventually went away and only the warm urine staid. Not sure if it's warmer than usual or if it's because I'm irritated. Urine is normal.

What could this be?

I haven't tried anything, I wanted to try taking AZO cranberry pills and see what happens, but also found on the web that cranberry may help kidney stones form, and I don't want to worsen the condition if there is a remote possibility this may be due to kidney stones? although I figured by now I would have felt the pain.

I'm virgin.

Hello,

Thank you for your consult at DoctorSpring.com.

There is a good possibility that you are not suffering from anything major and only increasing the water intake shall improve your symptoms.

However, all your complaints can be caused by stone in the ureter ( there may be no pain) and you should certainly get an ultrasound KUb before anything else. You can share the same with me. In the meantime you can start drinking 2- 2.5 litres water and also lemon water twice daily without salt.

Hope this helps, please feel free to discuss further.

Take care

Sincerely

Thank you. I will do that. In the case it were a stone in the ureter, would the cranberry pills or juice make it worse or the lemon water? Can I take both at the same time?

The cranberry pills are just cranberry concentrate with nothing else.

Hello,

I will not recommend the cranberry water. Lemon water is just fine, but make sure you are not taking lot sugar or salt without it. As a matter of fact, just plain water would be good.

Hope this helps
