Can doctor tell when MC comes by ULTRASOUND?

Resolved question:
Can a doctor tell when my MC is coming by using ultrasound? I had my son three months ago by c section and my period has not returned, since I am not breastfeeding I found this a little strange. I saw my gynecologist and he used the ultrasound machine to check my uterus. He told me my uterus is a normal size, i m not pregnant and my period should be coming in two weeks. I found this a little strange because I didn t know the doctor could tell if my MC was coming by ultrasound. I ve never heard of this... is it true

Hello
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com
Using the ultrasound scan, it is possible to assess the status of the endometrium - lining of the uterus.
Thickening of the endometrium to a certain extent indicates how soon the period will come, a doctor can have a fairly good idea of the phase of the menstrual cycle using ultrasound.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards.
