Cause and advice for ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER.

Resolved question:
This question concerns my wife.

We have been recently married (December/2014), and my wife, who is 45 years old patientold, has been complaining of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) like symptoms for several years, like she cannot concentrate, to the point that she has an auto accident several years old patientago, and she does not have the confidence to pick up driving again, until she is assured that there is no medical problem with her brain.
She has had a Brain CT scan in the ER few months before our marriage last year, because she felt tingling on her neck/arm, and the results were Normal.
She is in general pretty good health, following good diet/exercise. Her %body fat is (~18) which is pretty good for a woman.
She is 5’7” and walks quite a bit, and pretty athletic.
Her recent (few months ago) blood tests were all normal, including the Thyroid test.
Also, for several years, her sleep pattern has not been so good, and she has hard time falling to sleep, and wakes up easily even due to slight noise, like my foot noise in the morning getting ready to go to work.
She says that she also feels tired quite often and lethargic, even though she has not been working the last several months ever since our marriage. And I don’t expect her to do much work in the house.
She was divorced, and had some difficult life in her previous marriage.

Based on all the fact presented, what would you advise?

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your wife's symptoms and they are not suggestive of any significant brain disease. Normal CT scan is also a good news. If she wants to be fully sure, an MRI of brain can be done, which would exclude even a minor brain disease.
More importantly, she needs an evaluation by psychiatrist/psychologist for her symptoms. A thyroid profile, vitamin B12 and D level, may be checked in blood, if not already done.
Best wishes,

Thank you for getting back.
I have seen the reports and they are within normal limits. Calcium is slightly low, and she may take calcium supplements.

My mother, who is 88 years old patientold, has ongoing headaches. She has been to ER 2 times in the last few months, and had CT scans of the head. The only thing it showed was Atrophy. And it was normal.
She is taking Narco for headache, and Zofran for nausea, as she also has that.
Her blood results are within the normal limits. She has high blood pressure, but she takes medicine for that.
Several months ago she stayed in the hospital for few days as she had ongoig nausea.
The Abdominal CT scan showed inflamed Gallbladder.
But, no stones.
Can Gallbladder cause the headache?
