Chance sof success from manipulation of a thigh rod

Resolved question:
Hello, my relative had met with a major accident recently because of which he suffered a fracture in his thigh bone. He had a rod fitted in. He was recovering well. Yesterday he fell on his left leg and his right leg is injured. The rod fitted in the right leg has bent a little. Doctors have said they will try manipulating his leg and setting it right. Or else he would have to undergo surgery again. Will the manipulation work?
Please help I am very worried.

Hello,

Thank you for your consult at DoctorSpring.com. I have read your question with diligence.

It looks from your details that your relative was operated about 2 months ago.Two months is not a sufficient time for union of bones of leg.If rod had bent then there are chances that it has also affected union of fracture. Please confirm this by your doctor. If rod is only mildly bent & it had not affected the geometry of fracture then there is no need to manipulate.

If you sent me radiograph ,then i will be able to comment more.

With best wishes.
