Chills, bodyache with white spots in throat.

Resolved question:
Are these white spots on my throat concerning? I went to doc last week and he diagnosed as pharyngitis and gave me a z-pack. I got prescription filled the next day and that night I had chills, body aches mainly in knees and feet and fever of 99.1. Since then, no more aching really. I finished my z-pack saturday (2 days ago) and my sore throat is basically gone but my throat looks worse. I over all don't feel well, ears slightly sore, temp of 98.2. I'm very busy with school and work so I haven't really been concerned with feeling tired and not 100%. But I'm concerned it could possibly be std related with my most recent partner whom I was intimate with 3 weeks ago when throat first started hurting. I am used to sinus and allergies so I wasn't worried but the white spots scare me.

Hello,

Thank you for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

You had sore throat one week ago, taken azitromycin, improved. Now you are worried about std and white spots

These white spots on posterior pharyngeal wall are most likely collection of lymphoid tissue and we need not to worry about it. Still you can do throat swab test, so it will rule out any std. At present you are asymptomatic, so you don't require any medicine

Hope this helps

Best regards
