Cold, cough with breathing issue with no fever. Treatment?

Resolved question:
I started having severe cold by 11th night. I did a presentation in a conference room with few sick people. I have suspicion it all started here. then, next day cold. after the cold become dense and breathing issue.

soon it enclosed me so much, i started coughing, now after a week, i am having cough. cough increased very severely. every min i cough atleast 5 times.

I am now having some sweating and nausea little bit (not always), after i eat, i try to vomit little bit, but nothing comes out. some uncomfortable feeling in throat and chest.

while i cough whole body hurts. i visited a doctor who checked and said i have lot of mucus and they are think, advised me to drink lot of water. i agree i didnt drink a lot of water.

i did take mucinex dm which actually helped a little bit on clearing running nose, to breathable dry nose, but now cough is killing me. cold is bearable till i lie down. if i lie down, the cold is enclosing my whole face and hard to breath.

i take some sleeping pills to pass by every night.

the basic doctor i checked didnt do any test, just checked heart, lungs hearing through strescope and said, it sounds normal and said just normal cold will go away in few days.

I am trying cough syrup, actually it makes it worse, so stopped for last 2 days.

this has now become a problem and the doctor appointment is hard to get.

temp was at around - 99.5

i could eat little bit and have a lot of reflux kind of feeling, i used ot have acid reflux.
