Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com

I can understand your situation. It is definitely a challenging
decision to make. Each hospital has its own protocol related to BMT.
The costs of therapy can vary significantly between various centers
depending on various treatment-related and non-treatment related
factors. But, the estimates would be roughly the same in various
centers of Canada, US or UK.

If you would like to choose a much cheaper alternative, then you may
consider places like CHRISTIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE, Vellore, Tamil Nadu,
India and similar options. Countries like Singapore, India, Brazil
offer a less costly but viable options for children from developing
countries. The costs related to BMT at such centers would be roughly
ONE TENTH. But, obviously, these decisions cannot be made over an
internet conversation. You would need local support, a place to stay
and so many other support systems to cross one of the most challenging
phases of your child's life. So I suggest that you contact the
individual centers and the concerned doctors to determine the
suitability in terms of costs as well as other aspects of therapy.

Wishing that you find the right option for your child as well as your family.

Regards
Dr. Saptharishi L G
