Resolved question:
I recentely had my house inspected by a pest exterminator and they found bed bugs. I want to know if there is any chance of bed bugs being disease carrying vectors.

There is no conclusive evidence that states that bed bugs can cause diseases , but bed bugs like most insects carry many pathogens that can potentially cause disease in human beings. A recent independent study has found that bed bugs carry up to 27 different disease causing pathogens. But the study could not clearly indicate if there is a chance of transmission to humans. So it is better to be safe and keep our houses free of bed bugs.
