Resolved question:
The last time I seen my 17 week old daugh on a visit ter her gbutton looked infected. I have a picture. I told a caseworker who doesn't seem to want to believe it doesn't look. Well wanting to seek medical advice for my daughter. So if it is indeed infected or in need of medical care I can get them to have her treated.

I understand your concern.
I think your concerns are definitely valid. The G-button looks suspicious. However, it is very difficult to confirm the suspicion on a photograph. A direct clinical examination alone can rule out an infection. We advise our parents to look out for signs such as 'redness, swelling, or warmth at the tube site; discharge that's yellow, green, or foul-smelling; and/ or fever'. There appears to be some redness around the site. But, we cannot really look for anything else through e-communication.
You can touch the area after cleaning your hands and donning sterile gloves. See if she has any pain around that site. You may also slightly lift up the G-button to look for any discharge from around it. If these are present or if your child is running fever, then it would be a definite sign of an infected G-button and you can approach your medical team. Also watch out for:
