Endometrial Hyperplasia.

Resolved question:
hello Dr.
this in reference to a steroid medicine I was given for allergy relief for two wks in mid nov until end heading towards dec 2013, i didn't have a monthly, from after nov, dec, nothing 1/31 spotting, through about mid feb, by feb 20th been having heavy night flow and large clots, still happening, clots forming and when go to restroom

i had similar issue 2004 but no meds, back then, and it wasn't as long, but it did go on a month or so, I skipped a couple and too, then it was very heavy flow where i couldn't do much...
is this a regular medical issue or the steroid

so i am wondering i'm in 30's is this more of me possibly having fibroids or endometriosis or could thisjust be the meds?

Thank you

Hello
Thanks for trusting us at DoctorSpring with your health concern.
The steroids that you took just for 2 weeks in November are least likely to result in the abnormal bleeding even now.
More likely this is a condition likely to be - Polycystic ovarian disease, Endometrial hyperplasia, Polyp, Fibroid or endometriosis.
Please have a complete gynaecological check up - per vaginum and per speculum.
Also, hormonal tests - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Lipid profile and a Pelvic Transvaginal ultrasound scan.
This would reveal the diagnosis.
Transient hormonal imbalances, wherein all this workup would be normal, can be corrected by cyclical hormonal pills or cyclical progesterone therapy.
All the best
PLease feel free to discuss further.
