Hello, My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex (anal) on may 11th and 19th, no condom and I wasn't on birth control. I haven't gotten my period yet. (it's irregular but last month I got it on the 18th) I talked to one of the planned parenthood counselor that went to talk at my school and she told me on that if I took the day after pill, it would only be %50 effective.. (I took it on may 23)I'm scared.. I'm not sure if their is a possibility I am pregnant or that I'm paranoid.. I just want to know what the possibility of me being pregnant is.

Hello,Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring. There are likely chances that you are not pregnant. You had sexual intercourse not during the fertile period. Ovulation occurs 14 days after your period starts. Ovulation is nothing but a process where egg is released, and there are possibilities foe fertilization to occur during this time if you have sex. Therefore, this is your fertile period, starting from one or two days before ovulation to 24hrs afterward.
