I guess the doctor gave you only 5 tablets and that is definitely not enough to treat such a chronic chest infection.
I don't feel it's any super bug, you're just not getting adequate treatment.
You can always give your sputum for culture, and they will be able to identify the organism.
Now since the doctor is unavailable and you won't get drugs without prescription, you may just have to wait till he is back and review with a pulmonologist.

Dear DR many tanks for nice letter. i got so worried i went and seen another dr and i asked him if he could do a test of what i was coughing up and he wouldent help me. he wouldnet give me any antibiotics either. i dont know what to do? it was a waste of my time and money going there i went in a taxi and it cost a lot its a long way from home. i still have cold watery feeling in my chest and now i have some pain in my chest as well in the centre could having ainfection in your chest cause pain and damge to your lungs? its been in there for a long time. he thought it was coming from my sinusees and he pushed on my face and head and nose but i do not have a blocked nose or runny nose. but i do get headaches and muscle pains at the back of my legs. i am still sweating heavily when i wake up in the mornings and sweat for no reason during the day. i am sick of this and i want to get better and go see my twin sister agiain. yours sincerely polly

It is unfortunate that you are unable to receive adequate medical care where you currently live.
To answer your query, yes a chest infection especially one that is chronic and has been previously inadequately treated with antibiotics can cause chest pain and sweating.
Even in the absence of a blocked or runny nose, pressing over the locations of your sinuses can determine if you have sinusitis.
I would like very much for you to get better as well and therefore strongly recommend going to a hospital where you can get a Chest X-Ray, Complete blood counts (to determine if you have pneumonia) and sputum cytology and culture and be precribed further appropriate management.

Dear DR many thanks for nice letter. thanks for caring about me you are kind. i am scared to go to the hospital. hospitals scare me. i will go and see my dr when he comes back from holidays. i am going to the dentist on the 7th of january. so i hope they will help me. i can ask my dr if he will do all the tests you told me to have. they complain that the emergency depratments are always busy and to go to the drs for help but when i go they wont help and they blame the patients for making the emrgency departemnts overworked but its not the patinets its the drs over here. could you please answer a question i want to ask if someone had a chest infection and there was a little bit left in thier chest after they took antibiotics and if they went back to the dr and the dr didnet hear crackling and gurgling and said it sounded clear but there was a little bit of infection in there would the infection fester up agin and come back big again? what if the dr didnet beleive the patient that they felt somethink still inside thier chest and didnet give them any more antibiotics but the infection started to fester up again and get big again , when i said i had a pin in my chest i took some of my puffer medicine and that helped a bit. i thought i was having a heart attack. i get scared a lot and feel very stressed . please dont worry i will see my dr again as sson as he gets back thanking you very much for your care and good advice yours sincerely polly i would like to wish you a happy new year to :)

Well the antibiotics you were prescribed were of the appropriate strength and duration and ideally should have cleared up your chest infection. But yes, there is a possibility that the infection was not entirely cleared up perhaps either because the microorganism causing your infection was resistant to treatment or that the organism is not bacterial but perhaps a fungus to begin with.
Once you visit your dentist and have the infected teeth appropriately treated and visit a pulmonologist (chest medicine) to have the above mentioned investigations, your symptoms will begin to resolve.

dear dr many thanks for nice letter. i went to the drs on friday the 6th of january about cold feelings on chest and he said i had allergic asthama and wouldnet give me anymore antibiotics. i have not been ttested for astma . so i do not know if its true or not that i have astma. why are they being mean to me and why wont they give me some tablets to get better? all i want is to get better. thanking you for your excellent care and advice yours sincerely polly

I am not sure about the allergic asthma diagnosis, however if it is so, then you need to take Tab. Montelukast 10 mg once at bedtime for 2 weeks.
I am sorry Polly, I am not sure why the doctors do not want to give you adequate medicines.
