High creatinine level with high blood pressue, BYPASS SURGERY.

Resolved question:
My father aged 59, is having high creatinine level around 5.11. It was close to 3 for a couple of years old patientand now in last weeks blood test it has risen to 5. He has blood pressure and has underwent bypass surgery in 2006. He is taking medications for controlling cholesterol and blood pressure. He is also taking homeopathy medicine for controlling creatinine.
Is there any medication to lower his creatinine level before it gets worse?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Creatinine is bound to increase gradually signifying the fall in kidney function. You need to be careful in avoiding any such condition which suddenly drops the kidney function like infections unnecessary drugs etc. homeopathic drugs are very dangerous in patients with kidney disease as they worsen the kidney function further rapidly. It is the common experience of all the nephro just in the country to see that the patients come back with worsened creatinine after such therapies .
There is no drug that can make kidney normal but the drugs can keep him better and you just have to be careful with him. Please feel free to ask further queries.

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for your response.
So should we stop homeopathy treatment? And drugs cannot lower his Creatinine Level?
What medicines will you prescribe for my father's condition?
Also, can you let me know the diet plan?

Hello,
Sorry, but you have to stop the homeopathy treatment, as I mentioned earlier, kidney failure chances go up with such therapies.
There is no such medicine to improve creat levels, the kidney will slowly recover, you just have to give it time and monitor accordingly.
He should have a diet with more of green leafy vegetables and fruits and avoid spicy food as far as possible.
