Hi, Thanks for contacting us. It is true that detecting early and mild symptoms of HIV helps in better and timely treatment of HIV/AIDS. Depending upon the infection, many patients describes onset of mild symptoms such as fever, headache, swollen lymph, sore throat and rash. These mild symptoms persist for two to four weeks. During this period, the immune system will slowly come under attack and ultimately see a decrease in helper T cells (CD4 lymphocytes) as a result. Various other mild symptoms of HIV include coughing, diarrhea, weight loss, fever, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, joint pain and shortness of breath.
