Will raised eye pressure, GLAUCOMA make her blind?

Resolved Question:

her right eye vision was totally blurred (no shadows, totally white color, no black out). she was examined by an ophthalmologist who said she's suffering from glaucoma. her eye pressure has increased to a dangerous level (30+). Im panicked. Will i make her blind? Her vision has recovered by certain amount for the past few hours. But I'm so worried her eye pressure will shoot up suddenly (she's sleeping now and make her blind. Im really lost. Please advise. According to the doctor in the hospital, her vision will recover completely in the next one or two days. Will she just suddenly go blind all of a sudden when she's sleeping? And what should we do to prevent her eye pressure from increasing? Pleaseee advise. thank you so much

Hello,

Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Her eye pressure is definitely significantly high, and hence I will advise you take her to ER, where they can start injectable medicines for controlling the pressure. She won't go blind like that, but it is important we control her eye pressure as soon as possible.
Please feel free to discuss further,
Regards.

Patient replied :

ohya, i forgot to say that she was hit by a badminton racquet while in the game. Her vision is recovering. May i know is there anything that we can do to keep her eye pressure down? And also prevent her eye pressure from going up? Any specific thing that she should not consume and things that she has to be aware of while doing? Thank you!

Hello,
If she was hit by a racquet this is suggestive of traumatic glaucoma, in that case, we have to wait and watch, as trauma does cause the pressure to go high momentarily, and it comes down in a weeks' time.
Kindly revert back in 5 days with updates on her vision and eye pressure and I can guide you further.
Regards.
