How to make raw skin after injury not sensitive?

Resolved question:
I cut a patch of skin about 1/2x1 cm big from the pad of my finger while cooking, and now have a patch of raw skin. I have work to do and I need a shower, but this patch is very sensitive. Is there anything I can use to quickly make it not so sensitive?
