Hello Doctor,
Since about six months I am noticing a white spot on the shaft of my penis but it does not trouble me. Neither it is itchy nor painful. I do not have any problem with penis erection but I want to get rid of it especially when I notice my wife being a little reluctant in having sex with me. I have tried anti bacterial cream on the advice of one of my friends, but it did not work. Please advise me what to do.

Thanks for your question. White dot on penis is not an uncommon feature and are known as sebaceous cysts. You have not said whether you have noticed any white spot on your scrotum. However, this is not a case to worry except that it is unsightly and embarrassing especially when in intimate positions during sex. It is advisable to see a doctor who might advise you on medication. In case you are deeply worried which should not be the case, you can get rid of it through minor surgery by local anesthesia. You need not do anything at home except washing the place with plain lukewarm water.
